We're incredibly proud to have played a small part in BBC One's DIY SOS: Bringing Dan Home, which aired on 13 October 2026.
The build transformed the family home of Dan Flemen in Freckleton, Lancashire. Dan, a teenager, spent a long time in hospital after a brain tumour and a stroke, and his family's home needed major adaptations before he could come back. His family started the Get Dan Home appeal to make it happen, and the DIY SOS team, local tradespeople and volunteers came together to transform the house.
Our part in the build
When we heard about the project, Just Blinds Wigan volunteered to help. We donated blinds for the property and our fitters, Shaun and Paul, installed them on site, including blinds for the roof windows.
It was, without doubt, the busiest work site we've ever seen, with dozens of trades working side by side to get everything finished in time. Huge thanks to Shaun and Paul for keeping calm amid the chaos, and Paul even managed to get a photo with DIY SOS legend Billy!
